On Tuesday October 31, Sensofly took a hands on class with the Rock Robotic R3 Pro Lidar system mounted on a DJI Matrice 300 drone. We were able to generate 8 acres of 3cmm precise point cloud data in just 10 minutes of flight!

The Zenmuse H20T, a compatible payload, features a 23x optical zoom camera, radiometric thermal camera, and a 1200m laser rangefinder.

Remote ID, a digital license plate for drones, publicly broadcasts altitude and location while restricting pilot details to law enforcement and the FAA. Although technically launched on September 16, the FAA has announced a 6-month non-enforcement period, with penalties for operators lacking Remote ID set to be enforced starting March 16, 2024.
